From the Tanin stained waters of the Cape Fear River (Home to Migrating Tarpon, Redfish, Sea Trout, Flounder, Bluefish, Ladyfish, and Spanish Mackeral ) to the clear, high salinity, and grass littered flats to the North, most noted for the phenominal sight fishing they provide for schools of Redfish. All along the way, you will witness more opportunities for shallow water Fly and Light Tackle angling than you ever dreamed possible . Capt. Todd Streeter is a Coast Guard licensed full time guide residing in Southport, NC. He trailers his skiffs anywhere from the lower reaches of the Cape Fear River to North Topsail Beach to seek the finest inshore Light Tackle and Fly Fishing the Southern coastal waters have to offer. NOT ANOTHER BOAT RIDE, with him you will experience a passionate approach to our fishery in a unique seldom duplicated manner fine tuned over 20 years of "sneaking" around the shallow estuaries and backwaters that make up the Cape Fear region. His life has been consumed with all things outdoors since the age of 6 when he received his first Boron fly rod and casting lessons from his Grandfather, who was a commercial fly tier and custom tackle builder. Whether your desire lies in stalking North Carolina's state fish, the Red Drum, on back country tidal flats, getting that once in a lifetime shot at a tailing Red in the flooded Spartina grass miles from the nearest boat as a rising full moon lights it's tail like a blue beacon, a trip targeting Speckled Trout, Ladyfish, False Albacore, Jack Crevalle, or a Cape Fear Slam(Red Drum, Trout, and Flounder). He considers it a necessity to tailor the adventure to the individual. Whether you're a Master Level casting instructor or eager first timer, you will find a patient and attentive Captain who will make every effort to insure an educational and memorable trip.

Cape Fear Flats- Half and Full Day Light Tackle or Fly fishing trips departing from Ft. Fisher, Bald Head Island, Southport, and Oak Island. We will pole the open flats, bays, and creeks bordering the Cape Fear River. The rich tanin stained waters, offer limitless opportunities for sight fishing Redfish in mere inches of water. Other targeted species include;Speckled Trout, Flounder, and Ladyfish.
Topsail Flats - Half and Full Day Light Tackle and Fly fishing trips departing from Topsail Island, Sneads Ferry, and Figure Eight Island. The high salinity gin clear backwaters of this area offer tremendous sight fishing for large schools of Redfish year round. Topsail is home to some of the best winter Redfishing anywhere! Other targeted species include; Speckled Trout
Inshore/Multi-Species - Half and Full Day Light Tackle charters departing from Ft. Fisher, Bald Head Island, Topsail Island, Figure Eight Island, Southport, Sneads Ferry, and Oak Island. Mixed bag trips perfect for those who want to sample all the usual inshore species or get their Slam! You will target Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Ladyfish, Black Drum, Bluefish, Sheephead, even Tripletail.
Tailing Redfish - Half Day Fly and Light Tackle Trips departing from Bald Head Island, Topsail Island, Carolina Beach, Southport, and Oak Island. We will pursue tailing Redfish deep into the marsh, normally miles from open water or the nearest boat. Equal parts hunting and fishing...sight fishing is the name of the game here, and a keen eye to waving tails and splashes often mere feet from the boat will result in one of the most unique and rewarding angling experiences of your life!
Tarpon- Half Day (early am/evening) trips departing from Southport, Oak Island, Bald Head Island, and Carolina Beach. It may be short, but it's definitely sweet! July through September on the Cape Fear means one thing to me...TARPON! Good numbers of these fish ranging from 60 - 120+ pounds visit the backwaters of the Cape Fear during their spawning migration. Early am and evening trips make for cooler temperatures and better wind conditions, as we pursue these silver kings on live, artificial, and fly tackle.
Surf Red Drum - Half Day and Split Full Day trips departing from Topsail Island. Spring and Fall mean huge schools of Reds from the surf! We will fish from one of the last remaining undeveloped barrier islands on the South Coast. Our evening trips around the Full Moon during March, April, May, September, and October often result in non-stop action as 10-20 pound Redfish invade the surf by the hundreds. Split Full Day trips include a shore lunch/fish fry during the evening segment of your trip.
