Plummers Lodges

Cherry Ridge is the largest hunting preserve east of the Mississippi River. Our pristine mountain environment is home to some monster Whitetail bucks. At any time one of these big bruisers might be seen on one of the many plush food plots or in the shadows along the stream bottoms. You never know while you are on stand if the next buck you see may be the next state record. Our large numbers of bucks enables us to guarantee your hunt for a buck up to 140 class buck.

Portions of Cherry Ridge are available on a year round basis for our hunting guests to turkey hunt (spring or fall); fish for trout; use the archery range; winter sports (skiing, snowmobiling, etc...); hike; mountain bike; hunt squirrel, grouse and other small game; deer hunt under a quality management program, with valid Pennsylvania licenses, in season; and general access to the Allegheny National Forest through our property. Corporate and lifetime memberships are available.

At Cherry Ridge, hunters will enjoy some of the best whitetail deer hunting found anywhere. Both bow hunters and gun hunters are welcome at Cherry Ridge, September through Mid-February we specialize in trophy deer hunting. You and your guide will choose from over 20 different gun box locations placed strategically to accommodate varying wind conditions and movement patterns of deer.

Our deer herd at Cherry Ridge consist of numerous bucks in the 130 to 170+ class. These bucks are 4 ˝ to 5 ˝ years old and may weigh over 250 pounds. We try to keep our deer herd in a 2-to-1 buck-to-doe ratio, and in the near future we will have more than 500 bucks. Each year our herd grows larger and more mature, and in the next few seasons we expect many 170 plus class bucks to be harvested.

We have been forunate enough to have some enormous bull elk at Cherry Ridge. These bulls are of the Rocky Mountain variety and are huge. They are from 4 1/2 to 7 1/2 yrs. old, sport 6x6, 6x7, 7x7, 7x8 racks, and weigh up to 800 lbs. Most of the bulls score 350+ and can be harvested for half the cost of a comparable guaranteed western hunt. Our hunts are fully guided, one on one, and guaranteed. Check with the lodge for full details. Trophy fees run from $4500.00 to $8000.00.
