Plummers Lodges

Ragnar & Doreen are proud to offer some of the best Trophy Pike fishing available in North America, and invite you to journey through the natural beauty of the North Arm. You will come across countless unexplored islands, channels and long shallow weedy bays, the perfect habitat for our famous Monster Pike!

This pristine wilderness area is also home to Bald eagles, various waterfowl and many other types of wildlife. The chances are good you may spot a moose or a black bear (don't forget to bring your camera). With its ruggedly splendid landscape, the area looks today as it did a thousand years ago.

Caribou Hunts - Enodah Wilderness Travel offers guided trophy hunts for the central barren-ground Caribou. We do not operate out of a fixed camp because we believe flexibility is the key to give you an opportunity to bag a record book trophy caribou. We will fly in and set camp where there is a strong concentration of Caribou. Our hunt is a 6-day package with 4 full days of hunting. Hunters are expected to help out with setting camp and to do some camp chores during the hunt. This is not for hunters who expect a hot shower and cocktails in the evenings, this is more like an Elk hunt; we will fly everything in and fly everything out after the hunt. We cater to hunters who are in good shape and are not afraid to give the guides a helping hand in exchange for the excellent chance of bagging a world class Caribou.

Trophy Pike Fishing - What ever you want to call the Esox Lucius, we at Trout Rock lodge specialize in catching this hard fighting feeding machine. Since 1991 Enodah Wilderness Travel has catered to anglers from all over the world. Our mission then, and to this day, has been to put trophy size Pike at the end of your line. Our packages are fully guided and like most other fishing lodges in the North we practice "catch & release" which means barbless hooks and only keeping Pike under 30 inch for shore lunch. Past guests have used bait/spinn casters but in resent years fly-fishing for Pike has really caught on. Ms Gloria Reed of Seattle caught a 46" x 21" on a 12 pound tippet. The battle lasted for almost 40 minutes leaving Gloria completely stoked on fly fishing for Pike. We are using 18' boats with 25 to 40 hp outboards. There are 2 guests and 1 guide per boat. All boats are equipped with fish finders, VHF radio, first aid kit and life jackets. All our guides are fully trained in wilderness first aid/CPR and are masters in preparing a true Northern Canadian shore lunch from the mornings catch. Our fishing season starts at the end of May (ice out) and roll right through to September 1st when our "Cast & Blast" season starts.

Duck Hunting - If you want to experience something unique and hit "two birds with one stone", why not come and visit us in the fall for some spectacular wing shooting and enjoying the most colourful season of the year. Lying along the edge of the Canadian Shield, the North Arm of Great Slave Lake is a traditional fall staging area for thousands of waterfowl from all four continental flyways. This is a hard core duck hunt with a variety of species. Generous daily limits of 8 ducks with no species restriction give abundant shooting opportunities, with the chance to "trophy shoot" a mixed species bag. We hunt over decoys from blinds on islands, points and channels. We also hunt directly out of our 18' Camouflage Crestliner Jon boats hidden in the weeds. Jump shooting from canoe is another popular method. You may also get the chance to bag a few Canadian Honkers, Sharp Tail Grouse, Ruffed Grouse and Spruce Grouse. The "cast" part of the package is Pike fishing and can produce some BIG Pike, but is weather dependent. During periods of wind and rain, the Pike fishing slows down. In contrast, duck hunting is good rain or shine.
