Have you ever wanted to try fishing from a float tube? Experience being pulled around a lake by a 20 inch trout. Great trout fishing is closer to Anchorage than you think. You can go fly fishing in the morning and be back to your hotel in time for lunch. For just $30.00 we will pick you up at your hotel, Drop you off at a lake and supply you with everything you need to catch lunker rainbow trout. If you have never been fly fishing I have a technique you can learn in five minutes that produces 'mogan' trout. I have enough confidence in this lake and my fishing technique that I will give you back your money if your not completely satisfied with the fly fishing
The lake we will be fishing is a designated trophy fishery. The follow is an excerpt from the fishing regulations. Anglers have been participating since the 1960s in the ADF&G Trophy Fish Program, which gives special recognition to anglers taking fish that meet minimum weight(trophy certificates) or length standards(catch_and_release certificates) within a species. Trophy fish for both certificates must be legally caught from waters open to the public, in compliance with current ADF&G sport fishing regulations. Minimum weight for trophy fish certificates for rainbow trout is 15lb. Entries must be weighed in the presence of witnesses and a Trophy Fish Official, on a scale certified by the Devision of Weights and Measures. At least one witness is mandatory, as is a photograph. For catch-and-release honorary certificates, do not remove your fish from the water. Hold it just at the waters surface while a photograph is taken, then release it into the current. Minimum lengths for catch-and-release honorary certificates: Arctic char/Dolly Varden, 30 inches; Arctic grayling, 18 inches; brook trout and cutthroat trout, 20 inches; lake trout, 36 inches; rainbow trout, 32 inches. In long lake the fishing regulations state that only single unbaited hooks can be used. All fish must be released.
