Howey Bay Camps is located on RED LAKE, directly across the bay from the town of Red Lake. The lake is a superb fishing and recreation lake with walleye, northern and lake trout in abundance. It is approximately 35 miles in length with 95% of its shoreline being virgin forest.

The Red Lake area has many interesting activities for guests including an 18 hole golf course, museums and gold mine tours.

Howey Bay Camps has nine housekeeping cabins of various sizes with bedding, towels and a good supply of cooking and eating utensils.

Most of the nine housekeeping cabins at Howey Bay Camps have recently been renovated to offer a fully equipped kitchen including microwave, three piece bathrooms, TV/VCR, air conditioning and lounging furniture. Bedding and towels are supplied. Tow of our more modern cabins have Hot Tubs on their decks.

Available services include 16'-17' boats with 20,30 or 40 hp motors for rent, boat launching, fish cleaning facility, ice, gas, tent and RV locations with hookups and complimentary green fees at the local golf course.

George Lake is approximately four miles long. A portage lake can be reached via a five minute walk. Walleye and northern are in abundance. Our three bedroom, six person cabin is the only cabin on the lake.

Borel Lake has excellent walleye and northern fishing and is connected to a portage lake that can be reached with a five minute walk. A boat, motor and gas is located at the portage lake. Our four to six person cabin is the only cabin located on the lake. You and your party can enjoy the experience of having the lake to yourselves for your vacation.

Valhalla Lake contains northern pike and lake trout. All the portage lakes contain walleye and northern. The six person cabin is modern and comfortable and is the only cabin on the lake. Portages are well cared for trails that will take you five to twenty minutes to walk. Boats, motors, paddles and gas are located on all portage lakes.

The ODIN chain of lakes which now includes LILLYCROP LAKE, MOOSE LAKE, TOUTIN LAKE and REIGATE LAKE spans approximately 8 miles and provides excellent walleye and northern fishing. The locations of the lakes are such that you can find sheltered fishing in most wind situations. The six person cabin, which is the only cabin on the chain of lakes, is modern and comfortable. We have just added a large living room in which you can really relax after fishing.

Pringle Lake - This lake is 5 miles long and 1 mile wide with an abundance of northern pike. A five minute walk, carrying only your fishing gear and lifejacket, brings you to Philip Lake for walleye and northern. Boats, motors and gas are there for your use.

Little Vermillion is an excellent walleye and northern pike fishery. Several years ago a 35 lb. Northern was caught by one of our guests taking the honor of being the largest northern caught in Canada that year. Little Vermillion continues to produce trophy northern!
