BEAR HUNTS:
Lynn Lake Fly-in Outpost Camps exclusive, 5,000 square mile, hunting area is located NW of Lynn Lake in one of the newest areas allocated in Northern Manitoba for nonresident black bear hunters. This new area has many trophy size black bears in the 200 - 500 lb. range. Pope & Young and Boone & Crockett are good possibilities. The bears in this area have received very little pressure because of the vast remoteness of the area. Approximately 30% of these bears are of a different color phase such as: Blondes, Cinnamons and Chocolate Browns.
This past spring one of our bowhunters shot a 7 1/2 foot chocolate colored bear that weighed in excess of 600 pounds and had a skull size the green scored over 22 inches. We are waiting for the final measurement and are sure it will make the top 5 in Manitoba!
