Madison River Outfitters is one of the finest fly shops in the Rocky Mountain West, featuring an impressive selection of quality fly fishing tackle, custom flies, rugged outdoor clothing and hiking and backpacking equipment.

Customer service is our most important product. When you visit our shop you will be served by people who are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Guaranteed!

Madison River Outfitters employs several of the West's most talented and experienced fly fishing guides. An ideal blend of veterans who average more than 20 years of experience and younger guides who possess exceptional talent and enthusiasm, each member of our staff is committed to helping our clients enjoy the best fishing the Yellowstone area has to offer.

Float Trips - Its hard to match the fun and excitement of a float trip on one of the great rivers of Montana. Float fishing allows you to fish many miles of river you would not otherwise see and to put your fly over more trout in one day than you normally do in a week!

Walk Trips - Much of the best fishing in the area, including all of Yellowstone Park, is restricted to wade fishing only. Three of the West's greatest rivers, the Missouri, the Yellowstone and the Snake, originate in the Park. Their headwaters support abundant populations of wild trout and an endless variety of wild places to fish for them. We also offer walk trips to some of the best fishing outside the Park in Montana.

West Yellowstone, Montana is America's number one fly fishing destination. Rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout abound in a nearly endless variety of rivers, creeks and lakes. The Madison, Yellowstone, Gallatin, Firehole and Lamar Rivers, Slough Creek and Hebgen Lake are world class trout fisheries and they are right here in our back yard. It is the diversity of the fly fishing experiences that make the Yellowstone area unique. Take a hike in the backcountry streams in Yellowstone Park to sample great dry fly fishing for native cutthroats. For rainbows and browns that are equally challenging to hook and bring to net, try Gulper fishing on Hebgen Lake. From it's origin at Madison Junction, downstream to Ennis, Montana, the Madison River is America's premier freestone trout stream. In the fall anglers use different techniques to fish nymphs, streamers and soft hackles for big browns and rainbows migrating out of Hebgen Lake to the upper reaches of the Madison in the Park.
