Drive or fly in to Sioux Lookout, and Northwood Outposts will fly you to one of our first class outposts on Wapesi, Aerofoil, Lynx Paw or Raggedwood lakes for great walleye fishing and northern pike fishing in Ontario.
WAPESI LAKE, ONTARIO:
Wapesi, a favorite lake for many people for many years, continues to boast some of the best walleye and northern pike fishing in Canada. Wapesi Lake, a 30 minute flight from Sioux Lookout, is 9 miles long and ideal for larger fishing parties. Trophy northern and walleyes are commonly caught in these very dark waters. The area is home to many moose, eagles, beaver, otter and mink that guests frequently "shoot" to accompany the fishing highlights, northern lights, and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets in a prize photo collection.
AEROFOIL OUTPOST CABIN, ONTARIO
Aerofoil fly-in Outpost on Aerofoil lake offers you an elegant log cabin on this lake opened to fishing for the first time in 1993. Walleye and northern pike are plentiful. Tackle those fishing adventures combined with a comfortable stay in this new log cabin equipped with propane fridge, stove, lights, barbeque and fish fryer, all cooking utensils, attractive wood burning stove, futon, new beds, and pillows. The cabin also has hot and cold running water, a toilet and shower facilities.
Aerofoil, 50 air miles northwest of Sioux Lookout, is 6 miles long with an abundance of sand beaches, islands and access to two other small lakes. Boats, motors and gas are all waiting for your arrival. This is a magnificent lake for both the novice and expert angler looking for maximum fishing and outpost comfort.
LYNX PAW LAKE, ONTARIO
This isolated camp located 52 air miles north of Sioux Lookout accommodates 4 people. Due to the smaller lake size, pressure on the walleye and northern pike fishing has been minimal and it is not uncommon to land an 8 pound walleye. In order to maintain this fishery , these large fish must be released. This first class cabin features an indoor bathroom with shower and toilet. If you love fishing in Ontario for walleye and northern pike, Lynx Paw fly-in outpost camp is a great destination.
RAGGEDWOOD LAKE, ONTARIO
Beautiful Raggedwood Lake, located 45 miles N.E. of Sioux Lookout, is known for larger walleye and northern pike fishing.
If fishing in Ontario for walleye and northern pike sounds like a perfect vacation for you, then this is your perfect destination. Larger than average walleye and northern plus a remote wilderness lake means the fishing here is great! This camp offers solar lighting, running water and shower. Everything is supplied except food and sleeping bags.
