Plummers Lodges

THE LODGE AT WHALE CHANNEL:

This deluxe floating lodge is located 450 miles north of Vancouver, and approximately 60 miles south of the town of Kitmat, BC. From our sheltered location you will find yourself mere minutes from some of the most prolific saltwater fishing in Canada.

From May to July our guests will enjoy a fantastic outdoor experience as they match their fishing skills against huge feeding runs of Chinook (Kings) and Coho (Silver) salmon. Day after day our boats return to the dock with their limit of Springs (Kings) many of which are Tyees (30lbs+). Halibut and Ling Cod also flourish in these unspoiled local waters and with the "Hali Hot Spot" only fifteen minutes from the lodge, guests can try their hand at this alternative sport fishery. One eventful day, over 50 halibut were brought to the docks, with the largest weighing in at 119 pounds!

Fish from 17-foot aluminum centre console fishing machines, powered by smooth, quiet, 4-stroke 50 hp outboards, using top quality Daiwa rods and reels, Scotty downriggers, depth sounders and VHF radios.

The lodge will accommodate up to 38 guests in spacious comfort. Each room is well appointed including an ensuite bathroom. In our large dining room you will be treated to a fine selection of gourmet meals served with local wines to enhance your dining pleasure. Feel free to relax in our common reading room in front of the fireplace or join the camaraderie in the game room. Maybe you just might like to treat yourself to an awesome Pacific sunset while soaking in our deluxe hot tub. Not a bad way to end an already great day!

THE LODGE AT MILBANKE SOUND:

THE LODGE AT ENGLEFIELD BAY:

West Coast Resorts is pleased to announce their newest addition to the West Coast Family of Lodges. The Lodge at Englefield Bay. Strategically located on the West Coast of the Queen Charlotte Islands, legendary for its abundant runs of migrating salmon and trophy halibut.

West Coast Resorts utilization of helicopters enables access to this previously untouched coastline, affording anglers the opportunity to experience the Ultimate sport fishing adventure in a spectacular wilderness setting.

Located in the heart of the annual salmon migration path, thousands of different runs of Chinook and Coho stop to feed on the plentiful herring and needlefish found along this majestic coastline. This area also offers Trophy Halibut fishing. Based on the outstanding success of our Lodge at Tasu Sound, located 20 miles to the south, we've learned the Halibut are large and plentiful! At Tasu, hundreds of halibut were caught during the 2000 Season, with many trophy-sized fish in excess of 100lbs being caught on each trip. Add to this an abundance of bottom fish including lingcod and yelloweye, it is unlikely that you will experience a more consistent and diverse fishery than Englefield.

Our newly constructed lodge accommodates 26 guests, in unparalleled comfort. The elegance of the resort is reflected by the warm cedar accents throughout the spacious dining room, loft lounge and games room. Luxurious double occupancy guest accommodations feature large panoramic windows, ensuite washrooms, and local West Coast art.

The Lodge at Englefield is guaranteed to provide, superior fishing in a spectacular setting combined with first-class accommodations and outstanding customer service that has become the trademark of West Coast Resorts.

THE LODGE AT TASU SOUND:

West Coast Resorts is proud to announce our newest fishing hotspot "The Lodge at Tasu Sound". This floating resort is strategically located on the West Side of South Moresby Island in the world-renowned Queen Charlotte Islands.

Chinook (King) salmon start appearing in Hecate Strait in late February. By early May they are starting to be caught on the outside or 'gap' of Tasu Sound. From late May until mid-September, Chinook fishing is excellent, with peak periods occurring in mid-June and mid- August.

Coho (Silver) salmon will usually start appearing by early June. As they feed and start moving toward their home streams their size (often reaching 20+ lbs.) and numbers will increase. Peak times for fishing Coho is from late July through September.

For our guests that prefer to try their luck at bottom fishing, Red Snapper, Ling Cod and Halibut are plentiful. Halibut in the 100 lbs. range are not at all uncommon!

Accommodations at Tasu Lodge are clean and comfortable with each of our 9 double occupancy rooms boasting a private ensuite. Home cooked meals are prepared and served around the prime fishing tides to ensure that you're on the water for the "bite".

You and your fishing partner will fish from the comfort of our 18 foot center console welded aluminum boats each powered by 4- stroke 70 hp motors. As is the case with all our saltwater destinations, you will enjoy our unique "Instructor" program for 5 hours per full day of fishing. Our Instructors will be on hand to teach you some hot local fishing techniques as well as provide you with some tips on boat handling and water safety.

THE LODGE AT RIVERS INLET:

Situated 300 miles north of Vancouver, BC, 80 miles northeast of Port Hardy our Lodge at Rivers Inlet is famous for the number of trophy (over 50lbs) Chinook (Kings) which are caught by lucky anglers each and every season. This legendary destination continues to draw men and women from around the world in the hope of landing one of these monster fish.

This calm water, fair weather, summer fishery is suitable for senior and junior "trophy hunters" alike. Our lodge is nestled in the geographic center of Rivers Inlet at Johnson Bay. Our central location allows guests the option of fishing at either end of the Inlet depending on where the action is.

Fish from 18-foot aluminum center console fishing machines, powered by smooth, quiet, 70 hp outboards, using top quality Daiwa rods and reels, Scotty downriggers, depth sounders and VHF radios.
