Even the novice fisherman should have no trouble catching enough walleye for a mouth watering shore lunch or two. Because of the location of Island Lodge you don't NEED a guide, but some people want one anyway. Ron fishes eveyday and will mark your map with the "HOT SPOTS" when you arrive.
Eagle Lake Island Lodge provides guests with deep, safe Lund 16-foot aluminum fishing boats equipped with new 25 hp electric start Honda outboard motors. Gasoline, oil and bait are available at our island. Fishing licenses can be obtained in Fort Frances or Dryden.

Although only acessible by boat or plane, Eagle Lake Island Lodge doesn't come up short on amenities. When the fishing day is done take advantage of full dock service, retire to the lodge and cozy up to the wood burning stove with a fresh cup of coffee, shoot a game of pool and brag about your fishing skills, or head for the sauna and a refreshing dip in the lake. Put your feet up and watch the setting sun as the wear and tear of life seep out and your soul communes with nature.
Whatever your choice, Eagle Lake Island Lodge offers it all from dusk to dawn, until you're ready to retire into the cozy, rustic comfort of one of our log cabins. Stay in one of our cabins on the main island, or stay in a cabin on your own secluded "Treasure Island" next door. Each cabin has a character of its own and offers a different panoramic view of the lake. Let the loons sing you a lullaby as you gaze out at the Northern Lights from your bed. Our cabins sleep two to six persons and offer lights powered by our own generator, wood or propane heaters and all have fully equipped kitchens. Hot showers are a short walk down our wooded path. Linens, pillows and blankets are all provided.
