Plummers Lodges

Welcome to Klotz Lake Camp near Longlac in Northern Ontario. Being family owned and operated for over 40 years, and living at the lodge year-round, we have the experience to make your "fishing" or "hunting" trip one you will always remember.

Klotz and Flint Lakes are famous for walleye and northern pike, in addition to perch and whitefish. Our fishing camp is also in close proximity to over 20 other lakes in the area so in addition to our walleye and northern pike fishing, we can offer excellent fishing for lake trout, splake, and brook trout. Some lakes are more remote than others.

Imagine being the only boat on a gorgeous lake, and within reach of more fish than you know what to do with! Limits are caught daily and each season we have prize-winning fish taken from these lakes.

Klotz Lake Camp is located on beautiful Klotz Lake, approximately 7 miles long, and not more than a mile wide along most of its length. It widens to about 3 miles at the east end. You will be driving along the shoreline of Klotz Lake admiring the beautiful scenery before you reach our camp, which is centrally located on the lake.

You can also reach Flint Lake by boat. Flint is somewhat larger than Klotz and is reached by way of Hoiles Creek, directly across from our camp. Both lakes are studded with numerous islands and bays, providing sheltered fishing and many very pretty spots for shore lunches. You will never find these pollution-free waters too rough to fish at any time.

In addition to our comfortable housekeeping cottages we offer excellent camping facilities.

Outpost Cabin - Located on Flint Lake, approximately 6 miles by water from the main camp, we have an outpost cabin. It is located on a beautiful, sandy point and has propane cooking and lights. You must bring your own sleeping bags. We provide you with plenty of ice for your trip, however most parties come up to the main camp for supplies sometime in the middle of the week. To get there you must rope your boat(s) down 2 sets of rapids, but the fishing for northern pike and walleye is superb! From our outpost you can also fish the Flint River, well known for its great brook trout fishing.

Hunting the black bear is one of the most thrilling big game hunts in North America. The powerful and crafty black bear, with its keen sense of smell will excite even the most stalwart of hunters as he approaches your bait.

Hunting the noble moose - the undisputed king of the northern forest, is a thrill of a lifetime. The largest of the deer family, these regal animals often weigh in excess of 1,000 lbs. You will hunt the numerous lakes and river systems around camp, as well as the thousands of miles of logging roads and trails. Because our camp has been family owned and operated for over 50 years, and we live here year-round, we know moose movements and patterns because we watch them all year long, not just during Moose season.
